About the Book

I am writing this book for my family so they will have some idea of life in my era (born in 1931), and also my life as I lived it. Remember, there were no televisions, no electronic toys or games, so you must wonder, "What did my daddy do as a child?"

This book is intended to help me recall memories (good and bad) and to share them with the ones I love, family and friends.

As the years go by, we become more and more aware of what is important in life. We are reminded that the love and traditions a family shares are treasures beyond value. God has been good to me; He gave me a wife that was a guiding star in our years together. Without her, I do not know where I would be today. She gave me four wonderful children that I am so proud of. Their character was molded 90% by her and maybe 10% by me.

I go back in time when my great, great, great grandfather came to this country (mid-1750's from France)and settled in a small fishing village sixty miles Southeast of New Orleans along the Mississippi River.

The book consists of the Beginning; My early Years; Teenage Years; College and work related years until my retirement in 2000.
