An Alaskan Husky named Callienne goes out to kill a seal for his master, a Native American girl called Denari. But when he stalks into the village, strange men as pale as the snow are in Denari's hut. They kill her. Callienne must find a way through the winter snow of Ketchican. But he must find a new master if he wants to live much longer.

Molly has always loved Alaska and dogs, especially huskies and chows. This book combines the two. She has a pet chow named Rosie and a 2 year-old lizard called Mojo. Her favorite colors are blue and orange.
