To write a review about “Pearls of Dew” by Maria Dulce Leitão Reis is really an honour. The poetic content of this well written book still presents a challenge to anyone wishing to grasp its fullness and essence.
It demands a poetic effort from the reader who is ambitious enough to engage with the Author’s interpretative, yet eloquent, ruminations and emotions putting them into words and expressions.
Though the context of Author’s happiness and heartaches is giving us a clue, it is also through this poetry that Maria Dulce Leitão Reis explores herself to allow us to see across her verses intertwined with scents of sea and flowers on a course to the edge of the mind. Whether or not to dive in is left to the reader’s discretion and ability.
