Susan McWilliams lived abroad for a year in Pennedepie, France with her husband, a historian, who was writing a biography of a chaplain who served in World War II. A lover of animals and travel, Susan adapted quickly to daily French life and especially enjoyed the integral part that dogs play in the lives of the French people.
