About Author
Amaya Giselle Jones is born in still being raised in Paterson, NJ by both parents, Alondus Jones and Shirret Mc Fadden- Jones. She is the youngest of 4 children. Amaya is a 10 year old 5th grade student who first got into poetry after entering a school poetry contest at Norman S. Weir School just at the age of 7. Placing 1 st place for her 1st poem entitled: "I AM", Amaya began writing poems to express her inner thoughts. Some of Amaya's poems are dedications to some of the dearest people in her life, while others are just fun thoughts a to describe her ongoing wild imagination. Poetry is not the only talent that Amaya has. She enjoys singing, gymnastics and dancing just to name a few. Come along on this journey into Amaya's world of Poerty.
