When Emma's grandmother finds some caterpillars who are about to freeze, she brings them food and warmth. Emma gets to see the caterpillars, chrysalises, and butterflies, all three stages of a butterfly's life. Then Emma and her grandmother set the butterflies free.

Reinette (Cotty) Miller is a grandmother to her four grandchildren. She lives in Houston, Texas with her husband. She really found the caterpillars and saved them from the cold weather. Eleven of the original 17 were set free in her back yard!
