About Author
This book was compiled by Mary Anne Campbell, a French Classical Equitation instructor who has spent her life in an inquiry into the art of riding. Mary Anne and her husband, the late Craig P. Stevens, started the Foundation for the Equestrian Arts to preserve this rare and disappearing form of interacting with the horse--a form based on creating a deep and lasting connection that supports the rider in any discipline. French riding was always about the reality of an authentic and ever-growing connection with your horse, and practiced well it develops not only a well balanced and engaging horse, but a well balanced and engaging rider. Ms. Campbell continues to teach equitation and to support the Foundation for the Equestrian Arts, and its students and credentialed instructors.
