There's a lot Minh Bordyn would stand to forsake in order to gain popularity at school-- for instance, her younger, troubled sister Li.
Li is a pariah, and the laughingstock of the school, so naturally, the popular kids are ready to accept Minh with open arms when she promises to tell some of Li's darkest secrets.
But the girls' grandmother, Yin, who is overly protective of Li, begins to antagonize and threaten Minh as she tries to quench her thirst for attention.
What will die first: Minh's relationship with her sister, or Minh herself?
