Caterina grew up in Montauk, New York. Studying education at Teachers College, Columbia University, she knew writing a childrens' book would be a next natural step in her teaching career. Always touched by the classic story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, she found herself creating a modern day character and the book took off from there!
