Ramona J. Utz-Johnson (1925-present) was born in Potlatch, ID, and is a wife, mother, grandmother, and retired as an elementary teacher and teaches adult Bible classes at The Courtyard Estates in Canton, Illinois. She married a World War II Sergeant and later settled in the mid-west. She has composed poetry since 1941 and was published in 2018 by Eber & Wein Publishing. She is a direct descendent of Jacob Hochstetler who was captured by the Indians during the French and Indian War.
