First printed in 1884, Blacket writes that America is distinctly delineated in on of the oldest maps in existence. The Zodiacs are terrestrial maps of the Mythic ages, by which it is seen that America formed a part of the known world at that time, and that it was set in the stars. In Greek traditional history, America appears as Oceanus, populated by Gods, Giants, Nereids, Furies, Gorgons, Faunes, and Demons.
