Colleen Eren is an assistant professor at the City University of New York. As a sociologist with a focus in criminology, she is currently writing a book for Stanford University Press called "The Crisis and Bernie Madoff," due for publication in 2017. She is a competitive amateur runner and has been writing modern Japanese poetry for 10 years.
