Robert Newton woks as a full time fire fighter with the Meropolitan Fire bridge. His first novel, my name is will Thompson, was published in 2001. Since then he has written six other novels for young people, including the black dog gang which was Shortlisted for the NSW premieres awards and when we were two which won the young adult fiction prize in the prim ministers literary Awards. He lives in Melbourne with his wife and three daughters.
