While teaching Chinese characters to my foreign students, I found it very helpful if I explained what the characters looked like originally and what the stories were behind the characters. My students were amazed to know that every Chinese character has a history, and even every part of the characters resembles something.
In this book, the readers will find what the characters looked like when they were invented 3,600 years ago, and why they were made in that way. However, this is not designed as a heavy book. The idea is to show the readers the deepest thought in Chinese characters in the simplest way.
