About the Book
Shadow was a lab mix dog I was fortunate enough to obtain for my Service Dog in 2010. This experience taught me a lot about life in many different ways. I started this blog to share with my friends the lesson my Shadow was teaching me. It was a great journey. Shadow became sick the last few years before she died. I will always remember the goofy things she did and her favorite time of day "kong" time. Shad passed away in 2017.
I was fortunate to be able to get Zilla, a yellow lab in 2017. As a Service dog, she is a worker and a clown. Totally different than my Shadow. I am still learning things from my Service dog and Zilla is the new author of Shadow's blog

My name is Shadow. I am a mixed breed 5 year old dog, rescued from a no-kill shelter. I was rescued when I was about 6 months old and now I am a Lifeline Service Dog ~ http://www.lifelineservicedogs.com
Shadow: My Job Description: Take care of my mom. I am a mobility aid and help her balance, brace and walk. I pick up stuff she drops-- you name it! I love taking my mom's socks off and fetching her shoes. I like carrying the mail and ripping it up...with permission of course! I am a shredding machine! I love going places especially to church and to play at the dog parks. Simply put I LOVE TO SERVE! This is my life! Thank you for visiting my blog.
Zilla says, "Ditto!" I am more on the wild side than my good friend Shadow but we both have a passion to serve. I knew Shadow about 2 years before she passed away. I still miss her. We played and took naps together. Now, I have the joy to serve our mom.
