With only 7 unknown survivors of a murder so huge it wiped out nearly their whole race; a small group of teenage kids dwell in the depths of a forest, coming out only to retrieve food and water; living mostly in harmony. When Shilo comes back late at night from a stroll through the forest, looking as if she had seen a ghost, ranting on about something in the trees, no one claims to believe her. But when one of the kids find a secret crypt under their cabin, and an eerie silence fills the woods, the children start to unravel the story of their survival, and the killer that murdered their families that may still be out there.

Halley James Thomas is 14 years old and a freshman in highschool. She was born in Seattle, Wa, and moved to Orcas Island, WA when she was two years old. She has a younger sister and an older brother and lives with both of her parents. She is good at listening and understanding, loves to write and read, has a passion for poetry, and hates most preps and jocks and materialistic people.
