15-year-old Sokaai is part of a native tribe called the Yuku. They have been living peacefully on their native land for generations. Now, a new club is expanding itself into their native lands, forcing them to keep moving. Sokaai has been interested in these strange people. She wants to get closer and learn their ways. Sould she get close and betray her tribe? Or should she continue doing as her friends and family tell her and keep being pushed farther and farther off theyre native lands?

Monica Oakes is still growing up in Ramsey, Minnesota with her two cats, one dog, mother, and father. She enjoys doing her writing and gets her best ideas in the shower.
