About Author
Dr. Johnson is a Clinical Health Psychologist from Milford, CT who completed her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hartford’s Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology. She completed her residency at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, and her predoctoral internship training at the Central Western Massachusetts VA. While attending the University of Hartford, where the focus of her dissertation was on the disparities evident in African American and Latino father-absent children. Her dissertation was a two-phased project that incorporated an extensive literature review and the creation of a therapeutic children’s storybook that would serve as an intervention to mitigate experiences associated with father absence and offer strategies to better cope.
