After obtaining my fine arts degree in Darwin, Australia, I studied to become a secondary teacher of visual art. I later trained as a primary school teacher and shortly after became involved with teaching for special needs. Recently returned to New Zealand, I get a lot of joy from my continued work with autistic and intellectually disable children, my love of art and books in general. I hope that through my books children will begin to develop a love of reading.
