Christopher Mellen bought a one-way ticket to the tip of South America. Over many months he hitchhiked all the way back home to New Orleans. On the road he kept this journal filled with his adventures, from finding $1000 US dollars in an old shack, almost falling from a zip line looming over a cold and rushing Chilean river, to hiking to Macchu Picchu. Along the way he meets and loses friends, is tempted by beautiful women, and learns to love life on the road.
