About the Book

In 2020 COVID-19 events exploded from three lines buried in news reports to shutting down most of the world. The pandemic almost stranding us 12,000 kilometres from home. A non-living but non-dead novel coronavirus had deeper impact on our long-stay vacation than all the Australian bush fires, torrential rain, flooding, even cyclones. We may recover from natural disasters and carry on, but COVID-19 proved how fragile our normal really is; perhaps there is another message for us, as well.
