In the fall of 2022, second graders at the International School of Brooklyn embarked on a unit of inquiry about Traditional Stories. During this unit they explored the elements and characteristics of traditional genres. Students learned that all fables have three characteristics: the stories are short, they have animal characters, and they always end with a moral.
