About the Book

SPLITFRAME — BOOK TWO: BIRTH OF POWER

Birth of Power is the book where the SplitFrame universe begins to change generations.

After everything established before it, Book Two pushes the story deeper into fractured time, damaged families, inherited power, and the consequences of choices that cannot simply be undone. SplitFrame remains at the center of the universe, but the story starts revealing that the future will not belong to him alone.

The book follows several interconnected conflicts. Red Solar leaves, while Chaos watches the world around him change and begins moving farther away from the heroes. Chaos’s relationship with Dark Warrior becomes increasingly important, exposing the manipulation, anger, and history that helped shape him. His confrontations with Mirror Mind and Trillion, his training with Red Solar, and eventually his transformation into the terrifying force called Chaos turn his storyline into one of the book’s central arcs.

At the same time, Red Solar’s story becomes inseparable from Solar Flare’s. Dark Warrior sees the child as something dangerous enough to destroy before his potential can fully emerge. SplitFrame ultimately becomes involved in protecting the baby, pulling the conflict directly into the timestream. The struggle over Solar Flare is bigger than saving one child—it is about who gets to decide what the next generation becomes.

Time itself becomes increasingly unstable. SplitFrame is pulled through different periods, the heroes are separated, Duke becomes trapped in a time loop, and the characters are confronted with a broken future. SplitFrame’s greatest challenge isn't simply being powerful enough to defeat someone. It is understanding when to act and accepting that every intervention creates consequences.

There is also tremendous loss. Malik dies. Friendships and alliances fracture. Chaos continues down a darker road. Characters who once stood together begin choosing different futures for themselves. But alongside that destruction comes something new.

Legendary is born.

That is where the title Birth of Power gains its larger meaning. The “birth” isn't only Solar Flare or Legendary. It represents an entire generation of power beginning to emerge from the consequences of the previous one. Children inherit worlds they didn't create. New heroes inherit unfinished wars. And some characters inherit the damage their parents left behind.

By the end, SplitFrame returns to his own time and saves Duke, but returning home doesn't mean everything has been restored. Chaos, Red Solar, and Solar Flare have all been changed by what happened. The world may look familiar again, but its future has fundamentally shifted.

And underneath everything is the central idea of SplitFrame:

Power isn't what determines the future. Choice does.

SplitFrame can move through time, but he cannot protect everyone from every consequence. Red Solar has to decide what kind of father and man he will become. Chaos has to decide whether the anger and manipulation surrounding his life will define him. And Solar Flare and Legendary represent something none of the older characters can completely control—the world that comes after them.

So Birth of Power is ultimately a story about legacy.

The old generation fought to survive.

The next generation is being born from what they left behind.

And by the final pages, the question is no longer just “Can SplitFrame save the future?”

What happens when the future becomes powerful enough to choose for itself?”
