About the Book

Let us understand first the difference of counseling and psychotherapy. These two are terms that are often used interchangeably. Even if that is the case, they are very similar yet there are subtle differences as well. Counselor meaning advisor– a relationship of the psychotherapist to the patient. It involves two people working together to solve a specific problem. Psychotherapy on the other hand speaks to a general term that involves longer term of treatment which focuses more on gaining insight in to chronic physical and emotional problems. It focuses onto the patient’s thought processes and way of being in the world rather than specific problem.

Many couples struggle with their relationship that leads to divorce and broken families. Just like any case, marital problems may also be solved by counseling. Marriage counseling a.k.a couples therapy; is a type of psychotherapy. Couples of all types may undergo therapy; it resolves conflicts and improves relationships.

Nice book! My journey to self-discovery and healing took a meaningful turn when I read this book then i discovered Port Credit Counselling https://portcreditcounselling.ca in Mississauga. Their psychotherapy services are a testament to genuine care and compassion.

I know it is too late, I cannot do anything to alter the things that had happened. Well, you can say I am still a little bit of bitter that is why I am still here wandering in the internet of thing I should have done maybe I did saved the marriage in some point. So I ended up her, if only I read on you earlier maybe we are not divorced yet, maybe I still have her.

My husband and I went to a marriage counselor and she helped us settle our differences. We both managed to meet and compromise. I actually thought that he is the problem that I was not doing anything to ruin the marriage but thanks to our adviser I learned so much, now we are better couple and we have a harmonious relationship. I am really happy and contented to our married life.

Hi there, you can actually go alone it will still help but if you can convince your husband to go with you it will be better for the both of you. But let me remind you that it is a guarantee that they can help you sort things out but it wont guarantee that you will end up being together again, I mean the decision is still up to the couples the adviser is just their to guide and give advice to you both.
