STAND UP

I wanted to write this story because I had a dear friend to me get bullied on a daily basis because of her disability. The one day that I saw her getting bullied, I decided to step in and say something because I was tired of my friend hurting, and being picked on for something she had no control over. She was the strongest person I knew growing up and went throw a lot between her parents getting divorced, and having to always go to the doctors, or have surgery. I wanted to let those out there know, who see their peers being bullied, that it’s okay to stand up against the bully. All it takes is one person to STAND UP and say something, and the bully will get scared. Others will see your efforts and want to STAND UP too.

I want to teach kids that it’s not okay to pick on people based on something that a person was born with. We all have “disabilities”. I wear glasses because I can’t read books or the board in a classroom if I don’t. Some people have braces because they..
