The following stories were found among the papers of Vernon Richard. Sadly, he didn't live long enough to become aquainted with his son-in-law and daughters-in-law. Nor was he privileged to know and enjoy his ten grandchildren. It is for them primarily that I have reproduced the following stories he wrote for the children's sermons.
Children of the congregation loved him as did our four children and always anticipated his storytelling. Resonant voice and appealing smile captured the attention of children of all ages.
