Swan Rising is a book of poems centered on the experience of living at Owsley Fork Writers Sanctuary. My wife and fellow poet
Linda Bryant Davis bought the 30 acre property, with three cabins in Berea, Kentucky from Gloria Watkins (bell hooks) in 2019.
Linda had a stroke in 2023 and we closed the sanctuary. This year we have reopened for guests and can be reached at:

Many of the poems in this book were written while participating in LexPoMo, a thirty day online poetry workshop hosted by Workhorse Press.
