Gracie Duffy (as her friends call her CandyCat) was born in U.S, Massachusetts. She started writing these books when she was eight! She got the idea from Dork Diaries, by Rachel Russel. Her real name is Grace Duffy, she just doesn't like the name Grace as much as Gracie.
