The 9th Circle - Poems about Betrayal

This collection came together when I was ruminating much more than is healthy . The trauma of betrayal has that kind of effect on us. I’m still not sure these are fit to be my more numinous poetry. That’s so much more channeled through . These poems may be Dante and Virgil coming forward through the mad menace of my anger , but there war like in ways that veer toward violence. There’s an ugly edge to this poetry. Not poetry is pretty. Mine isn’t. But rage is movement as is emotion of every kind. These poems are occasional red cyclones. Thanks to the 9th circle these storms can find safe harbor . To forgive is a matter of free will. Here rules are twisted within the tornado Here we come to forget traitors, so we have no need to forgive them when beg us yet again, to let it go.
