This book is about a squirrel coming of age and his parents encouraging him to explore the great outdoors. During his adventure he encounters new animals and learns new things. While on the adventure tragedy struck and his family's house gets knocked down. But in the end they re-build their house and help other animals in the forest re-build theirs.
