Jewish 12 year old Anne's parents were killed in the Holocaust which left her alone her experience in the camp she was in was the worst of her life but once she interacts with people on the outside she realized not much has changed.

Makenna Hengel is a 5th grade student at High Plains Elementary in 5th grade who's love and passion for writing is spilled into this book which her 5th grade year in which she wanted to get away from the virus filled world she would create Anne's life in a rich and passionate way.
