A little autobiographical, this collection of poems is taken from my life, but also invites the reader to explore their own feelings about new beginnings and the discovery of love and life itself.

I started writing poetry at the age of 11 or 12 and have never stopped. Writing poetry is an extension of myself, a way of expressing feelings that run deep and voicing my love for creation, my family, and my God, Jehovah.
I have been published in different poetic periodicals and online venues in years past, which is fulfilling, but most of all I write just for the love of it.
I live in the beautiful Monterey Bay town of Capitola with my husband Michael. He has always encouraged me to write. My granddaughter, Chianti Young, has also been an inspiration to me with her own love of poetry and is an accomplished writer herself.
