Christine created The Borgees when she was in the seventh-grade. Today, she brings Pookie, Boo Bear, Lee Lee, Peanut, Catie Bugs, T-Man and Miss Marie to life. The Borgees are a "whole lot of learning with a whole lot of fun." Written and illustrations by Christine Borgeld
Christine and her husband have 7 children, 3 son-in-laws, 2 daughter-in-laws, 8 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and two dogs.
Christine is also the founder of National Stepfamily Day and the National Stepfamily Day Foundation. ( www.nationalstepfamilydayfoundation.org )
She is also a published song writer (BMI)
Christine and her husband received a Congressional Award in collaboration with Parenting Coalition International. "Parenting Emmys," Award received in Washington D.C., Russell Senate Building on National Parents Day, July 26, 1999. The award reads: Lighting the Way to the New Millennium-National Parents Day 1999-PCI Award.
