About the Book

Keyon was born prematurely due to domestic abuse between his parents. His mother was only 14 years old at the time, and as a result, Keyon was raised by his controlling grandmother. His behaviors at school reflected the strict discipline he received at home, and he often found himself getting into fights with other kids. As a teenager, Keyon sought out his drug-addicted mother and reconnected with his often absent father, but was subjected to physical abuse by his father and continued mental abuse by his grandmother. Despite his difficult upbringing, Keyon remains determined to achieve greatness and become a successful man. When he reconnects with his mother, he discovers that she now has three children. The story follows Keyon's journey as he navigates his tumultuous past and strives to build a better future for himself and his family.
