When Ayla Mercer moves into this old, kinda creepy apartment with peeling walls, weird neighbors, and noises that freak her out at night, she starts thinking something really strange is going on. She confides in the owner, Rowan Calder, and he answers only with weird and mysterious riddles. She suddenly starts receiving weird text messages and phone calls. The more she looks around, the more Ayla slowly realizes that everyone in this apartment complex is weird and unsettling. She also learns that Rowan's own siblings went missing and that even more people from the building have disappeared, but no one ever talks about them, as if they're either too scared or not allowed to say anything. She starts investigating. Will Ayla get to the bottom of this? Or will she become the next person to disappear?
