About Author

Author photo for GLP
Gary Penley is a an international bird watcher, photographer, and traveler who has a strong appreciation for all animals on earth whether on land, sea or in the air. He has traveled extensively to find, photograph and study the 100s of unique birds found across the world. He currently has personally photographed 600 different bird types and is pursuing more in future travels. He also helped raise four children and spent many night and years reading and rereading good books to each of his children and loved to make the stories come alive through voice and inflection. Good books got read and read until the staples fell out of them. These are the kind of books he wants to write for young children.
