Bethlehem was quiet under a blanket of stars. Mary and Joseph walked slowly, their footsteps crunching in the soft snow. Mary’s hands rested gently on her belly, and Joseph held her arm to steady her.
“We must find a place to stay soon,” Mary said softly, her voice tired but calm.
Joseph nodded. “Every door seems full. But don’t worry, Mary. God will guide us.”
