About the Book

The artist larry paul delves into impressionistic realistic and expressionistic styles. What happens on the drawing paper is mostly unpredictable and filled with serendipitous applications and gestures. The work you will view in this book are the inspirations in an agglomeration of lines and chalky, waxy solids. larry paul purposefully distorts realistic images and conceptions, while expressing something not quite evident to the human eye. In his case, as affected by a condition known as Asperger's, the expressions of pencil strokes and inks are somehow guided by inner feelings that arise from a deeper part of himself, e.g., anger, darkness, lightness, hope.

Using five different compositional series, you will see recognizable bright, tonal subject matter such as doors, windows, and plants, as well as, highly compositional dynamic tension-filled drawings, where the pencil strokes are brilliantly emphasized.
