Christabella was having a lovely birthday. She was happily congratulated and getting gifts by her friends and family. But when her 89 year old grandmother, who rarely visits the us because she lives all the way in central Europe, gives her a beautiful blue topaz necklace, things take a major turn for the worse. Next day she is slowly being consumed by the dark powers of the necklace, and only she can stop it from taking over her body and the world.
