About the Book
Depression and anxiety as well as suicidal thoughts and behaviors among children and teens are far more common than most people suspect. In book 2 of the "Kids Have Problems Too" series, five-year-old, Kaylee describes how her family responds to the attempted suicide of her 14-year-old cousin Honey-- following the death of her older brother Dante'.
I wrote this book to provide caregivers, teachers, school counselors, and clinicians with a tool to help kids begin to talk about self-harm and suicidal thoughts. I hope you find this book and the subsequent discussion questions and tips helpful as you support a child in your care.
