In a dystopian future, the rich and powerful are separated from the poor and the weak by a different dimension. Gatekeepers and Guardians protect these gates of either sides. The city of Celestia shines bright as ever in the light of the sun, while Nova stands in ruins from the war. The old world has collapsed and new order has be restored.

In the mist is Celeste Delaney, future Queen of Celestia. She is accompanied by her best friend, Isabelle, when rebels attack. With no where else to hid, they flee to an open portal to Nova, with a Celestia Guardian, Julian. Though, they manage to escape, they grow suspicious that someone close to them planned the attack. Realizing not to trust anyone, they assume fake identities in order to remain safe. However a Gatekeeper of Nova, Nathaniel, quickly realize their true identities and they end up striking a deal.
