About the Book
My father was my cooking mentor. He was quite an inventive cook who traveled the world as part of his career in the Oil Industry. This unique cookbook authentic Cajun recipes as well as great Midwestern comfort foods. In additon, I have the benefit of having learned great Cuban, Spanish and southern foods from my ex-mothers-in law (not that I am proud of having been married so many times),but I am happy that at least I learned more cooking techniques and the use of spices that differ from any I knew from growing up in Louisiana. This cookbook is well rounded and really the only one you will need in your cookbook repetoire for pleasing so many palets.

About Author
I learned to cook from my very inventive Father, who traveled the world for a living. Grew up in a family of Ten children so I know how to cook for Quantity as well as Quality and economizing is a key. Cooking is a hobby as well as growing my own produce and canning and freezinf vegetables and meals ahead of time. I cook mostly from scratch, but occasionally count on a boxed something or other to use as a base or one of my primary ingredients. Economy is the key and outstanding flavor, nutritional value, and low fat when possible are primary.
