The poor communities have become so polluted with murder,violence,drugs and weapons that it is unsafe for kids,the elderly and other law bidding citizens to come outside their homes.The high school dropout rate is at its highest and over 1 million African American men sit behind bars today.
Most of the business owners have packed up and and left the once prosperous community because of the high rate of crime and and violence.The love and unity that once covered the community and its people have almost vanished.Based on acutual events that the author witness while living in the community,while the names have been changed to protect the innnocent,the author poetically tell some of the dark stories that continues to place in her once peaceful and loving community gives her spiritual advice to the community on how to save themselves and their neighborhood.

Paulette Rena Bradford was born in Kinston,North Carolina.She began writing poetry at the age of 10 as a hobby.Praised by family and friends for her creative and humorous writing style,Paulette Rena decided to use her artful,poetic,writing skills to uplift and teach those in poor communities about ways to better their lives and their neighborhood.She is currently living in Raleigh,North Carolina and attending North Carolina State University studying Agricultral Science and is also finishing up her first novel.
