9th graders James "Jay" Davidson and Caroline "KC" Comernus have been separated due to a bombing. Now, in 11th grade, Jay realizes that KC is not dead. It's up to Jay and his best friend Matthew to find where she's gone.
Meanwhile, KC has been sent to Raintria, a different dimension from Earth. She finds a stranger named Rose, who explains everything to her about the Original 7, the controllers of this land. It's up to her to find Jay and discover her true powers.
