Steve Hanfur wrote the Guinea Girls. He felt it was an incredible pleasure to write this book. He had a fish named red. His story of the Guinea Girls was inspired by his real guinea pigs Chewy and Zippy. He feels like he is the luckiest kid to have an incredible idea to be an author.
