Far beyond the borders of the realm, another guardian endures a different fate.
Small Head, the Keeper of Endless Hunger, carries the darker remnants of existence—the greed, rage, obsession, hatred, and destructive desires that threaten to consume worlds. Feared by many for the shadows that surround him, few ever see the light hidden within.
When a fracture tears open the Veil separating realities, Baba and Small Head are drawn together by forces older than creation itself.
As forgotten memories awaken and ancient powers stir from the depths of the multiverse, they uncover a truth hidden since the beginning of existence: the balance of reality does not rest within a cosmic artifact or celestial kingdom.

Elijah Berment is a multidisciplinary artist, creator, and storyteller whose work is rooted in imagination, resilience, and the belief that beauty can emerge from even life’s most difficult experiences.
Working across sculpture, painting, sewing, tufting, worldbuilding, and storytelling, Elijah has spent years exploring ways to transform emotion into art. His creations often blend dreamlike fantasy with deeply human themes of perseverance, compassion, connection, and personal growth.
The Heartbeat of a Gloaming World: The Veil Between Us was born from years of creative experimentation, revisions, sketches, stories, and worldbuilding. What began as a collection of ideas gradually evolved into a living universe centered around two guardians—Baba and Small Head—whose struggles reflect the balance between sorrow and hope, darkness and light, burden and healing.
