20 years after the Halloween Gambit, Rikki and Emily are now king and queen of Quilluma. They have triplets, Vera, Chuck and Dave. The evil King Shadler and his resurrected family have returned and stolen a chess magic spell book.

To retrieve the book, Vera, Chuck, Dave, Rikki, Emily and the chess piece army travel through a portal to Los Angeles. Along the way, Dave falls in love with a gorgeous wealthy woman named Vespera Kestral, who has a troubled past of ex-fiancé, Jenster Durumi who was caught cheating on what was supposed to be their wedding day by kissing another woman, Silvana Schester.
