John ran up the hill with his bright red kite.
“Let’s fly higher than ever today!” he shouted.
The wind whooshed and swirled.
He held tight and let the string go.
Up, up, up soared the kite—
over trees, above rooftops!
A bird flew by and chirped,
“Nice wings! Want to race?”
The kite dipped and twirled with joy.
But then—snap!
The string broke!
“Oh no!” cried John.
The kite danced through the sky,
then gently landed in a tree.
John climbed carefully.
“Gotcha!” he said, hugging it tight.
Back on the hill, he tied a stronger string.
“Ready to try again?”
The kite fluttered, as if to say,
"Always!"
And off it flew—
higher than ever before

I am a kid that loves to make books. I like to play outside as well. I like to be active and play sports such as Basketball,Volleyball,Soccer and Go-karting.
