Beverly Lipford Yeager graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia.

Beverly served as Vice President of the Virginia Lambda Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in 1964 while living in Martinsville.

She taught in elementary schools for 34 years, including Clearview Elementary School in Martinsville, and W. T. Cooke Elementary School and Alanton Elementary School in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Beverly was nominated for Outstanding Young Educator by the Virginia Beach Jaycees, and was listed in the Outstanding Elementary Teachers of America, 1972 Edition.

She was honored with a Life Membership in the Virginia Congress of Parents and Teachers (P.T.A.) in 1981.
