A story written especially for Daria Modzelewski by her grandmother, Florence Modzelewski (a.k.a. Baasheep). This story was inspired by Daria's request for a mystery story written just for her. Daria supplied the names of the children, the family's pet dog and other animals in the story.

Florence Modzelewski is a mother and grandmother from Danbury, Connecticut. She is called Baasheep by her granddaughter, Daria, who converted the Polish word for grandma (Babcia) into a word that she could better understand (Baaa-sheep). Baasheep is 100% Italian, but goes by this Polish grandma name as a nod to the heritage of her late husband, Edward Modzelewski.
At age 76, Florence discovered her love of writing after developing a mystery story that was written in part years earlier by herself and her son, Brent. Florence has the writing bug now, and she can often be found at her writing away at her computer either in Connecticut or in her second home in Boca Raton, Florida.
